About the Title VI Program
The Port Administration of American Samoa (PAAS) is committed to ensuring that all members of the public can access our services and participate in our programs without discrimination. In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related federal nondiscrimination laws, PAAS prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income level, or Limited English Proficiency.
Our Commitment
The PAAS Title VI Program outlines the policies, procedures, and protections that guide our compliance. This includes public notice requirements, complaint processing procedures, records of investigations, and our broader community participation plan. PAAS also ensures information and meetings are accessible in both English and Samoan and provides accommodations for individuals with disabilities or Limited English Proficiency.
Filing a Complaint
Any individual who believes they have been subjected to discrimination under Title VI or the ADA may file a formal complaint with PAAS. Complaints must be submitted in writing within the required timeline and will be reviewed by the PAAS Title VI & ADA Program Officer. Full instructions and the official complaint form are included in the downloadable document.
